About the Rathdowney Alpaca Farm
Rathdowney Alpaca Farm:
- was established in 1994, and is now located at "Triple Peaks", a purpose-designed alpaca farm, nestled in the foothills of the
Mt Barney National Park, on the Queensland/New South Wales border.
- comprises 45 acres of predominantly native pasture, with paddocks connected by strategic laneways for ease of stock movement and to facilitate rotational, sustainable grazing.
- "Triple Peaks" is conveniently located 13km off the Mt Lindesay Highway, southwest of the Rathdowney Village.
- our huacaya herd displays the result of careful, selective breeding, with the introduction of elite Stud Sire genetics over quality females. Fleece characteristics, conformation, animal wellbeing and fertility have been predictably advanced with each generation.
- both the future and our fleece look "fine and bright"!
